Collecting and Using Your Data
Types of Data Stored
The Service stores the following data locally on Your device:
- OAuth2 Access Tokens: Used to authenticate with YouTube Data API v3
These tokens are stored locally on Your device and are used exclusively to communicate with the YouTube API on Your behalf. The Company does not collect, store, or have access to these tokens.
Use of OAuth Tokens
The OAuth tokens stored by this Service are used for the following purposes:
- To authenticate requests to the YouTube Data API v3
- To allow the MCP server to access Your YouTube channel as instructed by Your AI assistant
- To perform operations like uploading videos, managing playlists, moderating comments, and accessing channel analytics
Data Sharing
Your OAuth tokens are shared only in the following context:
- With YouTube API: OAuth tokens are sent to Google's YouTube API servers to perform requested operations on Your behalf
- Local Processing: The MCP server runs locally on Your machine and communicates with Your AI assistant (e.g., Claude Desktop) running on the same device
No data is collected by the Company. No data is sent to external servers, analytics platforms, or third parties except Google's YouTube API as described above.
Data Retention
OAuth tokens are retained locally on Your device until You manually delete them or revoke access through Your Google Account settings. Revoking access through Your Google Account will invalidate the tokens and prevent the Service from accessing Your YouTube data. The Company does not retain any of Your data.
Security of Your Data
The security of Your data is important to Us. OAuth tokens are stored on Your local device, and no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. The security of Your tokens depends on the security of Your local environment. We recommend keeping Your device secure and using appropriate security measures.
How YouTube Data is Used
This Service accesses the following YouTube data through the YouTube Data API v3:
- Channel Information: Channel name, ID, statistics, and branding details
- Video Data: Video titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, metadata, and statistics
- Playlist Information: Playlist titles, descriptions, and video lists
- Comment Data: Comments, replies, and moderation status
This data is used exclusively to:
- Display information to you through your AI assistant
- Allow you to manage your YouTube channel content
- Perform operations you request (upload videos, moderate comments, etc.)
Data Retention: YouTube data fetched through the API is stored in the AI Assistant's conversation context. The retention period and storage method depend on the AI Assistant You use (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or other LLM providers) and may be stored on their respective third-party services. You are responsible for understanding and accepting the privacy policies of the AI Assistant services You choose to use with this Service.
User Data Policy Compliance: This Service complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
